Oyhut Bay Celebrates July 4th for a full Week

June 21st, 2018 at 3:18pm
With July 4th landing on a Wednesday in 2018, we get an opportunity to celebrate for an entire week!
On Saturday, June 30th, spend the day in the Village Square, all decked out in red, white and blue, enjoying the outdoor music with Isaac and Micheal from “The Big Blue Van”. Pull up a blanket or beach chair in the grass. Shop booths featuring local artists and crafters or enjoy a martini on the deck of The Loft Martini and Wine Bar.
On Wednesday the 4th join Oyhut Bay Seaside Village for an afternoon of celebration with our “Ol’ Fashioned Family 4th” beginning at noon.

Live music 1-3 in the amphitheater brought to you again by Mr. Blackwatch, fun family entertainment.
Check out Justin the Circler as he creates some fun chalk and sand art in the Village Square.
Ol’ fashioned yard games for the whole family including, Bocce, horseshoes chess and cornhole. Challenge each other to a round of beach volleyball or badminton and watch the kids smile. Spend a few minutes on the playground or at the family sand sculpture creation area.
Nothing says summer better than a watermelon eating contest. We’ve got 3 different age groups – under 10, tweens and teens, and adults – competing for the 2nd annual Oyhut Bay Watermelon Eating Championship! Contest begins at 2:00 pm. Sign up outside the Sales Office entry.
We are bringing back the patriotic pet parade around the Village Square.
You can sign up at 1:00 p.m. outside of the sales office and show off your furry friend in all of their red white and blue.

What better way to remember the good ol’ days than with classic car show. Ed Duncan with High-Grade Asphalt has a beautiful Classic Car Museum in Ocean Shores and will be bringing selections from his collection to the Oyhut Bay Village Square. Make memories in our 4th of July photo booth corner, if you can stop laughing long enough from the fun props. Get #social and share the fun on our Oyhut Bay Facebook page. Dine on the balcony of the Oyhut Bay Martini and Wine Bar overlooking the Village Square activities.

The event is open to the public as well as our homeowners and guests. Stroll the patio, sit by the fountain, or cozy up to the outdoor fireplace and spend the afternoon relaxing at the Ol’ Fashioned Family Fourth at Oyhut Bay.

Staying for the weekend following the 4th? We’ve got our first wedding onsite!  Music by wedding party member Joshua Ott as they prepare for the event. The Village Square is open to the public as they exchange nuptials at the fountain with the Amphitheater in the background.

End the day with S’mores in our firepit. We’ve got you covered at Oyhut Bay for the 4th of July for everything Red White Blue and You!
