Now you can enjoy a whole new level of dining on The Natural Side of Ocean Shores. Executive Chef Doug Graybeal has create a special atmosphere at the new Oyhut Bay Bistro and Sidewalk Café, which opened Friday, April 14.
Chef Graybeal has a vision for providing a casual dining style, blended with handcrafted cuisine that lends easily to ocean beach lifestyle of Oyhut Bay and Ocean Shores. The Bistro surrounds guests with inviting warm earthy colors, textures and finishes. This décor reflects the natural surroundings found at the Oyhut Bay resort community. An open concept kitchen allows diners to more closely experience the personal touches as the cooks caringly prepare their meals.
The ever-evolving menu features entrees that include Seafood, Chicken, and Steak. Graybeal is creating his own Oyhut Bay Signature dishes, such as a slow smoked Brisket served with young tender fingerling potatoes and a seasonal fresh vegetable. A delicate blending of flavors will be savored in a French Onion Soup that is sure to be a year-round favorite. The chef is particularly excited about his innovative appetizer featuring a Tuna Tartare Poke with mango, avocado, and pineapple. Adding a pizza oven to his state of the art kitchen allows the creation of handmade thin crust artisan pizzas usually experienced in the finest bistros. Dessert highlights include a revolving cheesecake menu and, of course, a local comfort food favorite, Bread Pudding.
Chef Graybeal began his Northwest culinary career in 1995 at the Lake Quinault Lodge. He became well studied in showcasing dishes that featured natural, locally sourced ingredients and unique flavors only found in the NW corner of the map. After many years of exploring ways to create original and popular offerings, he was ready to move into a new era. The addition of the Bistro at Oyhut Bay creates the perfect venue for his culinary vision and long-standing reputation for excellent service.
The Oyhut Bay Bistro’s day begins with lunch and dinner service, Hours are 11am-9 pm Wednesday-Sunday, year ‘round, with occasional special events.
