Labor Day Weekend at Oyhut Bay

Live Music, Family Fun, and Coastal Celebration

If you’re looking for a reason to make one more beach trip before summer ends, Labor Day Weekend at Oyhut Bay might be the perfect excuse.

It’s that sweet spot in the season—long days, crisp mornings, and the ocean breeze that seems to slow everything down. This year, Oyhut Bay Seaside Resort is at the center of the celebration. Featuring a full weekend of live music, family-friendly fun, and space to simply relax.

Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with Live Music by the Sea

Say farewell to summer the best way we know how—good music, great company, and coastal sunshine. Join us at Oyhut Bay for our End of Summer Concert. A two-day celebration filled with local talent and laid-back vibes.

Friday, August 29 | 6–9PM
The weekend kicks off with an evening concert in the Plaza featuring Deerswerver. Grab a drink, find your spot, and settle in for a fun night of music under the stars.

Saturday, August 30 | 12–5PM
Come back for a full afternoon of live performances from Deerswerver and their friends. From acoustic sets to high-energy jams, the Plaza will be alive with music from:

  • Colin Gauge
  • The Leisure Seekers
  • Tiffany Maki
  • Brad McNiel
  • John Nygaard
  • Deerswerver

Whether you’re dancing with friends, relaxing in the sunshine, or enjoying the moment with a cold drink in hand, this is what Labor Day at the coast should feel like.

Family Fun Without the Fuss

Need something to keep the kids busy? The bounce house runs Friday through Sunday. It’s the perfect place for them to jump, laugh, and burn off energy while you relax and enjoy the last days of summer.

While the kids play, treat yourself to something sweet at The Salty Scoop pop-up, open Friday through Sunday from 12–4pm. It’s the perfect stop for a refreshing ice cream break. Saturday, August 30th, Olympic Axe Throwing is back in front of the Event Center from 10am to 3pm, bringing a little extra excitement for the adults.

With so much to do right here at Oyhut Bay, the weekend is all about simple pleasures—good food, fun activities, and plenty of time to enjoy together.

Why Ocean Shores for Labor Day?

Ocean Shores is a quieter kind of holiday weekend. There’s plenty to do, but nothing you must do. That’s part of the draw.

Start your day with a walk along the beach and take in the fresh ocean air before exploring the local shops around town. If you’re looking for adventure, Oyhut Bay Adventure Co. makes it easy to plan your day. With online booking, you can reserve paddleboards, kayaks for the canals, or bikes to enjoy at your own pace. After a day outdoors, relax with a glass of wine or a craft beer at Corks & Taps. For the perfect finish, treat yourself to a rejuvenating session at Seabreeze Sauna & Cold Plunge, just down the road, where you can refresh and recharge.

The days are still warm, but the evenings are starting to cool—perfect for a sweater, a firepit, and a long conversation under the stars.
