Memorial Day Weekend is the official start of summer in Ocean Shores, and we’re excited to kick it off right with SummerFest at Oyhut Bay.
Start the weekend right with Yoga in the Park – offered by local yoga instructor Christa Rogers on Saturday May 28th at 9:30 a.m. in Quail Run Park at Oyhut Bay. We will have a limited number of yoga mats available to borrow if you don’t have yours handy. Free, with a $10 suggested donation to charity.
Do you love beachcombing and tide pools? Join our Tide Pool Walk and Talk with a naturalist/docent from the Coastal Interpretive Center. Happens Saturday, May 28th from 10:30 to noon, or Sunday, May 29th from 11:30 to 1. Meet at the Oyhut Bay Welcome Center to start. $10 donation per person (cash or check).
Get into the summertime groove with live music from local favorites, The Bruce Hughes Band. They will play the Tent at Oyhut Bay on Saturday, May 28th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Great fun for the whole family! Plus along with the live music, we will be hosting a free catered picnic dinner for the first 100 guests and visitors.
Oyhut Bay is also excited to offer bicycle and moped rentals starting Memorial Day Weekend. What a great location for a bike or moped ride – get ready to explore the quiet roads of the south end of Ocean Shores.
SummerFest events are located at Oyhut Bay, 400 Salmonberry Lane SW (five miles south of Downtown Ocean Shores).
