Are you planning to open a new business? Have you been considering opening on the Washington Coast?

Oyhut Bay, the newest resort on the Washington Coast, announces the availability of new retail spaces in early 2017. Now under construction, spaces in a variety of sizes will be ready for occupancy from January through June 2017.

Oyhut Bay is a brand new, walkable village community of condos, cottages, retail, parks and community gathering spaces in Ocean Shores, WA. Located five miles from downtown Ocean Shores, Oyhut Bay is a short walk to the beach and borders the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area. The community is already attracting long-term residence buyers as well as vacation home buyers. Homes are uniquely zoned to allow for overnight rental which is unusual for most Ocean Shores residences. Many of our homeowners elect to rent their homes to vacationers through our robust vacation rental program with onsite professional management.

We are seeking to fill the needs of full-time homeowners and local residents as well as vacationing guests, ideal retail tenants would be community-oriented, health-oriented and sustainable businesses who are familiar with Ocean Shores’ demographics and seasonality. Prospective businesses should have experience owning or managing a business, experience in a seasonal community, interest in joining a tight-knit community and commitment to sustainability and health.

Examples of desired businesses:
-Grocery Store- focus on organics and sustainability
-Pet groomer/pet store
-Craft shop/workshop
-Art Gallery
-Gift shop- interested in unique and functional hand-made goods, not your typical souvenir shop

Currently, committed tenants include a pizzeria, craft cocktail bar, yoga/Pilates studio and an outdoor recreation shop featuring bike, moped, and kayak rentals.

Lease terms are flexible and negotiable. Interested parties should inquire via email with a brief description of your business idea, existing business and pertinent experience to Pat Brunstad at retail@oyhutbay.com.
