Starfish Cottage welcomes you to enjoy the perfect stay, nestled here in Oyhut Bay Seaside Village. Enjoy a delicious meal and craft cocktails at the Oyhut Bay Grill, grab a glass of wine or pint of beer at Corks and Taps, shop for groceries for your stay and enjoy homemade baked goods from the Oyhut Bay Market and Bakery, and make sure to stop by our other retail shops throughout the village.


Starfish Cottage is a dog friendly cottage. Please bring your dogs bedding and favorite toy with you, it is appreciated that you do not allow your pets on the furniture and bedding. 

With all the comforts of home, Starfish Cottage is the perfect retreat for your next beach adventure.

Oyhut Bay Seaside Village is built on the edge of the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area. Often called the “natural side” of Ocean Shores, this area offers miles of sea level hiking. Bring your camera for some wonderful nature photography. The nearby north jetty has spectacular waves to enjoy from afar - especially at high tide or on a stormy day.

Just across Marine View Drive, Oyhut Bay provides access to 26 miles of canals for kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding. Even on the rainiest of beach days, there is something for everyone at Oyhut Bay. Enjoy a relaxing fire in the fireplace and a good book. There are no bad days at the beach.

The Cottage itself was impeccable clean, nicely furnished, and with good amenities, all of which made it more warm and "home like" than a hotel but still didn't feel uncomfortably like moving into someone else's space. The design of the community is very friendly and nice, and the look and feel of the cottages is very welcoming.

Upon check-in, leading up to check-in, and during our stay, Lorene was most helpful and accommodating. She went out of her way to ensure our comfort and that needs were met. The owners of Starfish Cottage thought of every detail in making their guests feel at home. So many extra amenities and touches made it so we didn't want to leave. Did I mention how clean this place was? I have a fine eye for detail and easily spot dust and grime at other places we have stayed. Didn't find any here. The grounds were also beautifully maintained. No weeds!

Absolutely loved everything about this place

Absolutely loved everything about this place. The rental staff was so friendly and made us feel right at home. I normally struggle staying at hotels etc because I never feel like it is clean. When we walked in I was immediately very impressed at how clean the place was! My kids spent hours at the playground or sitting on the front porch listening to music and playing board games that we had borrowed from the office. We will definitely be back very soon.

Amazing location. Walk to everything. Nice people everywhere you go. Oyhut has all you need. Great cottage layout with ample parking. Well appointed with comfortable furniture, kitchen items, and linens. The bed is awesome - we had two really good nights of rest in this peaceful community.
