014 Don't Worry Beach Happy

A charming one bedroom, one bathroom cottage, you will fall in love with everything Don't Worry Beach Happy has to offer. Sleeps 4, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed for 2 in the living area. Includes a Pack N Play for your little one. Open concept living spaces, a well-stocked kitchen, a back porch to shake the sand off your boots, and a front porch for relaxing with friends and family await you upon arrival. A ramp gives ADA access to the home and an EV charger is convenient to the ample parking. Relax by the fireplace and enjoy a game or good book. Guests love the hot tub!

This lovely cottage is dog friendly (two dog limit) and even has a fully fenced back patio for your four-legged friend. Please bring your dog’s bedding and favorite toy with you, and we appreciate that you do not allow your dogs on the furniture and bedding.

Enjoy a delicious meal and craft cocktails at the Oyhut Bay Grill, grab a glass of wine or pint of beer and great food at Corks and Taps and shop for groceries for your stay and enjoy homemade baked goods and coffee from the Oyhut Bay Market and Bakery. Make sure to stop by our other retail shops and the play area right here at Oyhut Bay Seaside Resort.

The resort is built on the edge of the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area. Often called the “natural side” of Ocean Shores, this area offers miles of sea level hiking. The nearby north jetty has spectacular waves to enjoy from afar - especially at high tide or on a stormy day. Oyhut Bay is a short walk away and is a great place for beachcombing and a quiet stroll.

Just across Marine View Drive, the resort provides access to 26 miles of canals for kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards right from the resort. Or reserve a beach bike or e-bike and cruise around. Even on the rainiest of beach days, there is something for everyone here. There are no bad days at the beach!

Lovely Stay

We decided to book Oyhut Bay the day before and were lucky enough that the Sandpiper Cottage was available for the next few days. It smelled so clean when we entered. It looks exactly like the photos. It was enough room for 2, maybe 4 with younger kids. There was just a TV in the living room but it was actually nice to have a quiet bedroom space. The room is smaller but we had enough room for our luggage. Cooking was so easy and everything we needed was provided. It’s just a couple minutes walk from the store and across the road from the restaurants. We enjoyed our escape. We will visit again but maybe a larger cottage next time.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at Oyhut Bay! We most definitely plan on bringing our family here for a future stay. No matter where we went the staff on property were so kind and that should really be taken into account. Robin was very helpful to us on our first day of checking us in and letting us know about things in the area as well.

This property was amazing and homely

This property was amazing and homely. It was a very quiet and peaceful area. Very family friendly. The grounds were nice and clean. There were ample fire pits to sit in front of and get warm. The rental office had plenty of board games and videos. The house was fully equipped with cooking and some cleaning supplies. There was an on-site bar and grill, coffee/pastry stand, and market. There was also a play ground for the little ones. I plan on booking a stay there in the future.

Though we only stay here in November, December or January, it is nice to visit and clean up (we own the cottage). We are so happy many folks stay here and leave such wonderful notes in the cottage's notebook.

We stayed 2 nights and wished we had another night to enjoy it, but enjoyed the bbq grill, stove and oven for cooking. There was a lot of storage space that made most of the room functional. My wife and I gives this place a 9 out of 10.

We stayed at Sandpiper Cottage for six days and enjoyed every minute. It is cozy, clean, and well appointed with everything we wanted. We were able to cook meals when we wanted and never lacked for the right tool. The proximity to Damon Point is fast and easy. The staff were very helpful and their recommendations for activities never disappointed. We'll go back in a heartbeat.
