Otters, waters, and shuffleboard oh my! Welcome to our beautiful vacation home, Otter Spotter on the Water for the perfect combination of relaxation and fun, situated in the heart of Oyhut Bay Seaside Village. With its prime location just steps from restaurants, shops, and a short walk to the beach, it has everything you need for a perfect family or friends' getaway.
The open-concept living space features a gas fireplace and a 55” Smart TV with cable and pre-loaded streaming apps. The upscale kitchen boasts solid wood cabinetry, Quartz countertops, and a large breakfast bar peninsula, fully stocked with high-quality cookware, a variety of spices, and proper utensils, perfect for preparing a family meal. Just off the kitchen is a large wood table with seating for 6-8.
The fun continues after the beach! Kids (big and little) will be entertained in two separate FUN rooms including an 8ft pool table, shuffleboard, a 60” Smart TV with preloaded streaming apps, a retro game system, and loads of games and toys.
The outdoor space of this place is equally impressive. It features a large sun deck that offers stunning 180-degree water views, and it is equipped with a propane BBQ grill. You will love playing barefoot in the plush yard, roasting S'mores around the firepit, taking a dip in the hot tub, playing outdoor games in the fully fenced backyard, or simply enjoying your drinks while watching the sunset on the 20-foot dock.
On the main floor, the master bedroom includes a king-size bed, an attached private bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a 42” Smart TV with cable. Heading upstairs, you’ll find a second master bedroom with a king bed and attached private bathroom with a walk-in shower. A third bedroom, also with a king bed overlooking the canal and equipped with a 42” Smart TV, as well as a full guest bathroom just outside the door. The fourth bedroom comes with a twin bunk bed and one queen bed. There is also one queen-size air mattress, perfect for large or multiple families.
Enjoy miles of sea level hiking in the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area, just steps away from the property. Our private dock provides access to 26 miles of canals for kayaking or stand-up paddle-boarding. Even on the rainiest of beach days, there is something for everyone at Oyhut Bay.
Otter Spotter on the Water is a dog-friendly cottage, so bring your furry friend along for the adventure. Please bring your dog's bedding and favorite toy with you, and kindly avoid allowing your pet on the furniture and bedding.
If you need more space, you can book Heron’s Haven on the Canal next door. The properties can connected through yard gate access.
Oyhut Bay Seaside Village is built on the edge of the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area. Often called the “natural side” of Ocean Shores, this area offers miles of sea level hiking. Bring your camera for some wonderful nature photography.

It was a perfect fit for our family of 5 adults, 2 rambunctious little boys and 2 whippets. The boys loved their bunk beds and the hot tub. The fence in backyard was a plus. Our whippets enjoyed laying on the turf and the decks. The dock was a real nice place to sit and enjoy watching the birds and the deer that came to visit. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook. Next time I'll bring my wok though. I think we've found our home away from home when we visit Ocean Shores again next year. Thank you again for the wonderful memories.
The Otter Spotter was a great house to stay in. It has a good layout and is perfect for a getaway with friends. It has a lot of extras if you were to bring children here having lots of games and toys and areas to play. The kitchen has everything you need and very well stocked. The beds are super comfortable with nice linens. The added private dock on the canal is a nice amenity as well as a fenced in and gated yard. It was fun having the pool table and shuffle board area. All in all, we love staying at Oyhut. It’s a great alternative to the small hotels and the “other” huge resort that is further up the coast. It is modern yet still has the great laid back and friendly vibe that you come to the ocean for.
Our family plus two other families all stayed at Otter Spotter on the Water and had an absolutely wonderful time! The house was clean with nice modern fixtures and very cozy! The kids loved the play room and second living room upstairs! We could walk to dinner at the Oyhut grill and the kids loved playing at the park as well. Highly recommend this place for your family plus vacations!

The house is located on the canal and has a very nice backyard. It is well stocked with everything you would need to cook. Nice location and close to all amenities.
This house had it all. Plenty of room for my family. Both gaming areas were a huge plus. Kept the kids busy and off their electronics. Loved being on the canal, the birds were quite enchanting. Would definitely recommend and would come back.

This was our second time staying in The Otter Spotter on the water. The house was perfect for our needs. We loved having the fenced backyard for our grandkids as well as the community playground just a short walk away. Our grandkids enjoyed having the bicycles available to ride around. The private dock was nice to sit on and enjoy the sunny days. The garage turned game room was great for the cooler days and the kids and adults all enjoyed using it. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We enjoyed many walks down to the bay. It was only a short drive to the beach which we did almost every day. Overall it was a great experience and we would recommend staying in this house or any of the houses at Oyhut Bay Seaside Village.
