What Is the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area?
Found on the south end of the Ocean Shores peninsula, this wildlife area is part of the Johns River Wildlife Area. These wildlife areas are focused on wetland and estuary habitats that support diverse wildlife from small game to fish populations. Oyhut Wildlife Area is one of four remaining nesting sites in Washington for the western snowy plover, a threatened species.
